So, at the end of the day what is the industry recognised process with regard to initialising variables ? Is it :-
i) turn off E_NOTICE
ii) initialise variables ie $somevar = "";
iii) use isset() as per 'groovygarden' on Jan 30, 2003

Recycler's question doesn't appear to be too unreasonable. I have exactly the same need where I have a database that contains employee details and I need to access that data in two or more other database eg Sales leads and Engineers Data and do not want to duplicate. [ponder]

I know this thread is a little out of date and you may have solved your problem but, just in case not....
If you uninstalled mysqlcc 0.9.0 it left behind your settings for the server and one of those tells how many row to return and is probably set at '1'. Change it to a larger number...
