    C# and serial port access

    If you don't have access to the OCX from VB then this URL may help. It's a serial driver written in VB.NET. I have made a DLL from it using Visual Studio and C sharp can use it. Haven't tested it fully, yet, but it looks promising. http://www.freevbcode.com/ShowCode.Asp?ID=4666
