You can use crystal's function

You can also put in to an if else statement and then based on the len of your source field do a different format.

Is there a way to suppress a group footer based on the number of detail records. What I'm looking to do is if I only have one detail record I want to suppress the footer for that group otherwise show the footer with the totals for that section. I'm using the .Net version of Crystal Reports.
