    Warm reboot fails, Cold reboot works

    I have a w2k laptop. Recently I have noticed that warm reboots always hang (with the blue dashes about 2/3s of the way done). But cold reboots (system powered off then reboot) work fine. Any ideas on how to identify what's going on and how to fix it?

    Windows 2000 hangs on warm reboot

    I have a w2k notebook, and recently I have noticed that it hangs (with the blue blocks about 3/4s across the bar) on warm reboot. It boots fine from a cold boot. SPs and other patches are up to date. Can anyone tell me how to isolate this problem, and hopefully fix it?

    I have seen the very same thing, when I upgraded from System Works 2002 -> 2003. NAVAPSVC.EXE now consumes 30 - 60% or more of CPU.
