Mike,
Thanks. After fixing the search path, it worked as advertised. I've never dealt with a compiled VPF program before, so I was overlooking the obvious.

Is is possible to add a compiled program to a VFP 9 project and use it in the IDE or is it only functional in as part of the executable? I bought the Commercial version of XFRX, which comes with the compiled program (FXP), not the source code(PRG).
I added the FXP file to the Programs and...
I would also like to throw in my vote for "The Fundamentals". Worked great for me. When starting out I also used "The Hackers Guide to VFP" a lot (also at Hentzenwerke).
I have a VFP application that pulls data from our ERP system and writes it to a set of free tables. These free tables are accessed from label printing stations via ODBC connections.
Here's the problem: When I want to update the info in the free tables I get an "access is denied" error...
Hey Gang,
My solution does not use VFP, but I think it could be extended to VFP or any application that can print to a file.
We needed our ERP(unix) system to distribute Purchase Orders to suppliers via Fax, email, or mail. We created a network share to receive the files, and basically...
mbarrow,
If you can ping network resources then you know that your routers are passing the traffic ok.
As for the GRE and TCP config settings, it really depends on the hardware and applications being used on your network. I wouldn't think that TCP is necessary to VPN, but I know that some...
Okay, I guess the short answer is: There is no provision for printing directly in VBScript. (Someone correct me if I'm mistaken)
But I did find a third party tool, plus some decent references on printing from scripts at http://home.att.net/~wshvbs/wshPrinterObjectPage.htm.

Hey Gang,
Is there a VBScript command to send output to a printer?
I've searched hi and low in my Win2000 Scripting Guide, but not found anything.
Thanks,
Jacob
If you have a MicroSoft TechNet subscription you could look at the Scriptomatic Tool: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/scriptcenter/wmimatic.asp
It's not strictly VBScript but WMI in general.
Best of luck.
Jacob
Michael,
One of the attributes you can change for each Policy Class is the Job Priority. We have several jobs that get put into the cue at the same time, and they run according to Job Priority, highest number first.

Eganm,
We are still in the process of going from Business Server v3.4.1 to v4.5 on a Windows2000 platform. I haven't seen a Best Practice for this, but I would be happy to compare notes.

I am looking for a simple application that measures Data Transfer Rates over LAN connections, particulary between servers. Has anyone used anything like this?
Thanks,

Hey Trillithium,
I know this has been some time since you posted this thread, but I hope someone pointed you to a bad Network Interface Card as a probable cause. We were having the same problem on one of our UNIX clients. If you found a different solution, please update us.

Is cost an issue? Do you really need color? I'm partial to Handspring's Visors. I have had a Visor Solo and now a Visor Edge.
I do not have the need to do desktop computing on a handheld, but am sure that some folks do. I use my personal unit for Organization applications almost exclusively...
Rick,
I don't know if you have this thread marked, but I am unable use the above code. Running the code generates an error dialog box with "SQL Column 'PICKCUST' is not found".
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jacob Smith
