CO Trunk wiring for Definity system

Where are the punch downs for Lucent Definity system where the CO trunk go into the system? This would be for analog lines - not Tie or T1. I have two analog lines that I want to be able to call out from and have it ring on a station and am trying to figure out where the punch downs go as...

    Phaser 8400 xerox

Thanks ... actually this is a different printer than my other thread. However, I managed to fix the problem on this one (digital ink smear on the paper--like the smear was in pixels!) by cleaning the excess build up of grease (?) on the right side of the drum behind the fan. I did it a couple...

phaser 8400 wax coming off paper and sticking to drum

Thanks, no to be honest I am not sure. ... plus, hopefully it comes with installation instructions -- I have almost ripped the printer apart trying to get to this part.

LCR PGMING ON NEAX DM/2000 - ADDING IN DIGITS

Does anyone know if there is a command in the NEAX DM/2000 IVS/IPS to add in digits based on what first digit you dial. I.e. if you program an LCR route, so that when you dial the first digit as a 3 or 2 for example (which are stations on other PBX connected to the NEC) that it then knows to add...

Neax2000 IPS using five digit ext numbers

Question for both Ozziegeorge and tst4echo: I have someone setting up an NEC DM and Samsung DCS Gateway. They are having a lot of trouble getting this working, however I am sure it can be made to work. I see that both of you have set these up with a large network and maybe you could assist in...

SAMSUNG DCS GATEWAY/NEC DM (2000) QSIG CONNECTION

I have some coworkers in the UNited Kingdom, who are trying to connect an NEC DM system with a QSIG connection to thier existing Samsung DCS Gateway switches. They can make calls now from the NEC to the Samsung, however can't make calls from the Samsung to the NEC DM yet. They couldn't get the...

    conferencing on 2400 ICS

Looks like the analog trunks to me as wel, but you say youturned up the PAD - do you mean taking it off? What are the settings that you have the PAD on now? I have had to deal with a lot of volume issues with the 8-party conf cards and the card itself hasn't really been a problem, but the...

unable to hear on calls transferred off-net

What type of switch do you have? On a MAT terminal with DOS or windows, youcan type in ARTD and then press return and it will list out the different settings for a specific trunk/route and there is one called "PAD". It is normally defaulted to have lowering of the volume. If you want to test...

    NEC2400 MMG & SATELITTE LINE

Anyone have any suggestions or information on the workability of using satelitte for a point to point link between two phone systems in different locations? I have a line going over a microwave line, however it will be undergoing maintenance for a couple months and I am looking for the most...

Thanks neax, another 2000IPS question CCIS and pad ??

Yes, in the ARTD command tehre are PAD settings and in the help view, you can see the settings and also in the manual it tells what each setting does (i.e. -db settings). You should look at the settings for each and see what are each are set for and you may find that the ones that are too loud...

    8-party conference card problem

Thanks and I figured as much. I have a new question on a similar subject - if you've got any ideas... When you are in a 3-party conference by using the Private Release function (i.e. press the line appearance on several phones to enter the same call - and then once the 4th party enters the call...

    2400 IMX

I would check whether you have the type of phone (TP) set correctly and then put the programming back in and then write it again.

unable to hear on calls transferred off-net

Yes, this does sound like a PAD issue. You shld check the ARTD command and you will see the PAD settings and you can try it at 0 PAD and then try a few test calls. I had this situation where the third party on the call could barely hear the other parties and once the PAD was removed (I believe...

    3-PARTY CONFERENCE ON NEC 2400IPX

Does anyone know if there is a way to handle putting a party on hold when you are in a 3 Party Conference? Or is this just the way this feature is? Why? I know that it is this way, but I am trying to get it to work for a specific reason. Anyone have any ideas?

    8-party conference card problem

I have a NEAX 2400 IPX with an 8-Party Conference card (PA-CFTB). this often makes calls to another switch which is a NEAX 2400 MMG over a CCIS connection. When you call parties over the CCIS (using station numbers) and then transfer them into the conference card on the IPX (let's say 1-5...

    Low Volume

I just saw this and if you have not already solved this problem, you might also want to check the settings that you have for that route on your system. There is a setting called "PAD" on the NEC systems (such as 2400 IPX, 2400 MMG, etc) which enables you to set the PAD on the card...

Can I Hook a Laptop to....

CLOCKING ERRORS ON NEAX 2400 MMG

Thanks for the direction. I am going to go ahead and handle the dip switch settings on the card and do some tests on this and see what difference it makes. Makes sense onthe single clocking source and we just need to ensure they are set correctly to each other and that they are in synch.
