I think I would have asked him "In what situation would you only want to run one pair" My school of thinking is that if you have 8 wires, wire all of them correctly. Who knows what new technology may come out to use the rest of the wires! It don't think it's any faster to do 2 or 4... -
Send Email while Offline with Dialup
Laptop. Windows XP OS. Office 2000 Pro. Exchange Server 5.5 No PST. Sales guy has Exchange offline enabled, also has Internet Email. I'm not concerned with how to get access through firewall to Exchange server (though that would be nice). All he needs is access (offline) to his Exchange...- xmar

Small VPN solution needed ASAP!!! HELP!!!
I have not successfully done this, so take it for what it's worth. I have 5 clients with SonicWall Firewall Appliances. They are very reliable, and have a VPN option (costs extra). I also know that WatchGuard can do what you are looking for, and there are some very inexpensive DLink...- xmar
