I'm printing dozens of reports to Adobe PDF (this is a monthly task I have to do). However, each time I print, the printed file opens in Adobe.
I would prefer to say, just print, I don't need to open it now. Is there an option to turn this off?
By opening them all, it slows down my machine...
I noticed this morning, that when I change Identities in OE 5.5, AIM opens! I rebooted, still the same.
Anywhere to look to see why? Opening OE doesn't open AIM.
When I get home tonight, I'll probably just uninstall AIM, I don't use it, my kids do and they have their own machines anyhow...

Cancel the previous message. I changed the startup menu to the new WinXP interface and OE showed up there. I was able to open it, change the security setting and the emails open up fine.
I recently upgraded to Win XP, OE 6.0/IE6.0 at work.
I normally use Outlook, but at times I will use OE when reading emails I've saved to cd-rom. (At home, I'll forward a host of emails to myself, then save to CD, read them later).
When opening an .eml file, OE would open and I'd open...
Here is where to see what your settings are.
Right-click My Computer, and choose Properties On the Advanced Tab, click the Startup & Recovery Button. Check the Automatically Reboot box.
There is an extensive thread here that I found yesterday. I was having the same issues, reinstalled win2k and haven't had it since. (Have not upgraded IE to 6.0 this time though). Several possibilities on this thread.
