Got it to work. I simply reinstalled the Cardiff software and the scanner was detected by the software.
Yes, it always was detected by Windows, but the software created by Cardiff refused to see it without a reinstallation of their product. Very dissapointing.
If you have used software...
Just as a response to the secondary issue. There are a couple of models that start for less than $600. The Visioneer has a model that has an auto-document feeder (ADF) already attached for $299 sold by Office Depot. I haven't had a chance to test this model, but its there. Plus, HP has a...
The three certifications I obtained were based on books on the same subject from different sources, including ExamCram. ExamCram I found to have a wealth of excellent information and very few mistakes.
In a perfect world, there would be no errors in these books. Being that is not the case...
400Mhz FSBs are not new in computer time. Its been around for a little while.
800Mhz RAM is good for the CPU chips and motherboards that support them, namely the newer P4s. Plus, you have components on your motherboard that speak directly to the RAM outside of the CPU.
So, if a person...
If the software for that camera has an exposed COM programming interface, it is likely, yes. You should look for something in your 'References' resembling Kodak or Wang or your camera software. Just open a code module and click 'Tools', then 'References'. If the item is not on the list, you...
Yes, its probably very simple.
You need to program against the Outlook object model or possibly do this through the CDO interface. When you have a code module open, select 'Tools', then 'References'. On that list, there should be a reference to the Microsoft Outlook object model. If you...
If you are going to use MS Access to do this, you need to find out more about the software of the camera.
To control the camera/scanner, you need to find an OCX or DLL that exposes its software model for you to program against. Otherwise, its probably a no go for controlling the camera...
David,
I was able to install the library without problems. The instructions for installation were pretty easy and clear. I didn't attempt to actually use the control though. What did you do exactly to trigger your problem? Steps?
Thanks,
Gary

If you want to view the contents of a table through a form, you have to first decide how you want the data presented. There are a few of different ways to go about that (i.e. Datasheet view, list box, or standard data bound controls, etc.).
The form's "Rowsource" property needs...
I forgot to mention, you will need to change the control name references. This was obvious, I know, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't accused of providing bad code!

If you want to use less code, try the following:
#1 Create a function with the following code....
Public Function SetControls(myselect As Byte)
Dim i As Byte
For i = 1 To 4
Me.Controls("text" & i).Visible = (i = myselect)
Next i
End Function
#2 In...
