Really the best way is to work with the OS in question, in this case, Windows 2000 Pro. Cramming is useless with MCP exams. Get to know the system by going through every option page and read up on the theory in study guides. I used Sybex.

You said that you checked on the advanced page of it to enable IPSEC and PPPT (I assume you meant PPTP). What type of tunnel are you using (L2TP or PPTP)? Are you using your router as a NAT? If so, that could cause a problem with L2TP/IPSec because the NAT service will translate the port numbers...
