    After further probing, i have found out that by using NTFS permissions i can achieve the effect of protecting a file by using a password, but the thing is how exactly do i implement it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?thx;)

    I would really appreciate it if anyone can advise me on the steps involved in protecting any given file by using a password on win2k server. Hopefully thru win2k server's own built in features and not other 3rd party software.
