Serious IDE controller 1 problems.
I haven't been able to check the light yet. That's the next thing I plan to do now that you mentioned it. Yes, I have discarded the CD-ROM from the system and no, I didn't try the second IDE socket for the drives. That slipped my mind as well. I'll see what happens and report back. Serious IDE controller 1 problems.
First off, I'm working with a BIOSTAR M7VKQ motherboard with-- usually --a Western Digital 60 gig harddrive. 256mb SDRAM, on and on. That's not my real problem.
