For example :
rate-limit input access-group 120 5000000 24000 24000 conform-action
transmit exceed-action drop
Would set a limit of 5Mbps for the traffic on access-list 120. The 24000 is for the amount of bytes in the token bucket, which I suggest you read about on cisco's web site...
I checked and here is the interface command to use :
rate-limit input access-group <xxx> <burst-normal> <burst-max> conform-action <transmit,drop - why would you want to drop it anyways ;)> exceed action <mark,drop...>
Good luck ! Olivier Martin

Read that somewhere and I think...
Yes you can ! You need the version that supports it, and it's the IP only software. Then create the access-list you want your router to limit traffic on, and apply the CAR statement to the interface on which traffic will arrive.
int eth0
ip rate-limit group <acl-number> ....

I remembered when I saw the -maxdepth option that this is what is used in linux.. any idea what option I can use in AIX 4.3 ? I don't find it in the man page... and you are right, the -depth is to go through the directories in a different order. Thanx for the correction ;)

There is a minimal amount of knowledge about routing you need to know before you can go further.. But basically, I'll presume you heard about RIP. If not, well do a search on it on google, i'm (and RIPv2) sure you will find tons of info on this protocol.
Creating a loopback interface is...
If it's unplugged, it will *never* answer to a ping as well as it will never appear up because it is not up. Create a loopback IP address on router3 if you want an answer to the ping and advertise this IP address through the routing domain (RIP ? EIGRP ?) and this will work.
Good luck ...
Hi !
The routes need to be propagated from one WAN to the other, either by putting all these routers within the same autonomous system (EIGRP process number) or by redistributing another protocol into EIGRP process X used by WAN A.
Hope this helps..

What is Ethernet0 of router 3 plugged to ? If unplugged, it's the way it should be (down). But I guess it's not...

Read that somewhere and I think its cool :
If you want to accelerate a Windoze Box, there is an easy way to have it accelerate at -9.8 m/s^2 :)
Well, there will be a raise in CPU use as compared with no NAT, but it still should be comparable as a standard NAT. With IP route caching being enabled (using cef or whatever), there should not be that much of an overhead as all trafic is routed to the virtual interface which forwards it back...
Hi !
I noticed you are using bash... so you probably are in linux and if I remember correctly, there is an option with Linux`s find that specifies the depth and the option is :
-depth
so your command would be :
for dir in `find /foo/stat/* -type d -depth 1`
Hope this helps !

Hi,
You need to use a loopback interface to do this and also policy based routing. There is a sample on cisco`s web site, but here is approximately what you need to do.
1) Mark the Ethernet interface as an inside nat interface (ip nat inside)
2) create a loopback address, mark this interface...
