You will need a network boot disk (see bootdisk.com). I haven't tried to load XP from a shared CD-Rom, but I have loaded it using an unattended install over a network drive. I did use an install point in my toy domain. There is some good documentation on the XP cd. It is in the support...
Ok, I found it. If anyone else cares, just do a search for "IEC 320 c19 to NEMA 5-15P" and you will find many sites that will sell it to you. The cheapest I found was $30.

To make a "generic" image you will need to use sysprep to load all of the drivers that XP might need. I haven't created the perfect generic image yet, but I am getting closer.

Here is a way I have done it. I used a script from Microsoft, and the MMC. You will need to run the script as an administrator before it will work for users.

If this printer is on a network, then try TCP/IP printing. I have several of these printers at work, and the XP boxes connect fine with TCP/IP printing. To get them to print with the building print server (NT4) I had to update the NT4 print drivers (PCL5e) on the server.

Ok I know it is a silly question, but....
Does anyone know where I can get a power cord for a 3Com CoreBuilder 9000. I have power supplies, but no way to plug them in. I have been to 3com's site and found nothing.
