    Thanks all. Bought the Wrox VB6 MTS Programming. It is excellent, highly recommended for anyone doing COM programming - hopefully he will update it for COM+. I have other books on order. I'll let you know how I get on. Woof Woof Hector

    Yes - Wrox are generally great. My book shelf is pretty much all Wrox. I've got the "Components for ASP" book. Have you read "Professional Visual Basic 6 MTS Programming"?

    ASP Code doesn't compile

    Is your question that you want to see the source code, or that you want to see some output? I presume you want to see some output from your code. To get some output, you have to explicitly tell the parser to output something. eg: <% Now() %> ...does nothing. It calculates Now() but does...

    Joffer - can you confirm that the query causing this error can be run from within Access itself (ie. you can paste the SQL into the query designer SQL window and not get the same error). It doesn't sound like a DNS problem to me.
