Hope you don't have a registry problem that has associated .exe files with Note Pad.

Windows 2000 and NT aren't all that secure either. I have a bootable CD that will change the Administrator password to whatever you want, thus allowing you access.
It doesn't stop at the "Scanning for Updates".

I can pick items from windows update to download.
I can pick "Install now"
I accept the license agreement, and the download window opens.
IT JUST STAYS AT 0% and will not begin to download (no error messages).
