My whole point was to be sure that I gave the correct software CD's and Product Key's away with the correct computer. If it doesn't matter (which I think is what conclusion has been drawn here) then I won't worry about it.
Exactly how do I "disable simplified sharing". I have been to the Folder Options View tab and I do not see a option to turn this feature on or off.

I realize that this may be a little niave, but did you check the Connections setting under properties for the email account. You said that you were using dialup, now that you are on DSL you should only need to switch from the Dial up option to the LAN option.
