A simple way is to just write the following by the link:
.....
To save this file, right click the link and then click "save target as".
.....
That basically means if you're linking directly to a .doc file then can save the 'target' file (which is the document) by right clicking it...
I'm no flash expert, but one way I'd suggest is that you have part of the flash movie that has an Onlick function that opens a url.
I'm sure the experts will give you a much easier way.

You trying to save it in excel? It's possible to get a user to input a saveas name and save it as that, if you are wanting to save the file in the same directory, that is.
