Help, unknown Win 2000 boot password...

I am getting a message to enter a password during the booting process. I have no idea why or what this is. F8 doesn't help (same message), ctrl + alt + delete only re-starts and I get the same message. Can anyone help? Is there a way to bypass the 'boot password'? Thanks, Kimberly (visitor)
