My users on Sunray workstations get an empty ICA setup and have to set up the server connection themselves.
How do I a set up a default appsrv.ini (or whatever it is) so that a new user gets a useful set of apps in their ICA client?
Mmm, if you rebuild the domain then you would have to rejoin all the machines to the domain in order to give them fresh machine id numbers. Before you did that you would have to to tell all the machines that they were no longer in a domain.
The invocation of smbmount suugests that mount is used as follows. Also
mount -t smbfs -o username=joe,password=joespass //servername/sharename /mnt/name
the /mnt/name is a dircetory that must exist. It does not have to be in /mnt at all, just anywhere that the user has the rights to use it...
Interesting problem. As i see it you are sharing out a shared folder.
When your system is working, how many users can work simultaneously and how effective is it.
Previously I have been told that you cannot share a share. I wonder now if this was correct.

An important difference between linux and solaris is the use of /export/home to house home directories.
When a user logs on to the solaris machine they will find their home directory under /home where it is mounted whilst they are logged on. This is the case with NIS and NIS+ anyway.
