Restoring a single filesystem from a savevg backup
Hi We lost a disk in an AIX 5.2 server. I did a Remake Volume Group and it dumped down most of the data but seemed to stop while halfway through the last filesystem (/u01D). I tried to run the following /usr/bin/restorevgfiles -s -r -f/dev/rmt0 /u01D but although the tape was flashing away... -
Getting rid of desktop wallpaper
Easy one for someone I have desktop wallpaper that comes up just after I put in my password and also when I am shutting down my PC. However this is not the wallpaper I have when I am fully logged in and my profile has been applied. Does anyone know how to get rid of the startup / shutdown...- MickC

"Word Too Long" Error
Folks I am getting a "word too long" error when trying to run a cob -Z -o command with a list of about 1900 objects, does anyone know how I can get past this? Any Help Appreciated Mick- MickC
