    windows wont shutdown but will in safe mode

    windows 98 wont shut down it gets stuck on the "windows is shutting down screen" Tried going through the windows startup shutdown trouble shooter and nothing worked. Except that the computer shutdown when it was in safe mode. Any help would be great.
