Go to start, accessories, system tools, system info, afterthat go to tools and run system file checker and see what files have changed, you can restore some files from windows\helpdesk\sfc
I would hit ctrl-alt-delete as in the previous reply, if no luck go to safe mode and run scandisk after thattry defrag it should work in safe mode.
