Hi,
on Windows 2008 R2 I would like to get info which user has logged into Windows and from which IP address.
If possible I would like to have some kind of command to do the task.
Thanks
I haven't done anything additional except shutting down Windows and next day turn it on and left 6 hours it running (maybe updated finished earlier, I was just 6 hour away). Now Windows found 60 updates. I checked them all and installed them without a problem.
Thanks a million for help.
P.S...
@2ffat, I did exactly the steps you provided. After 2 hours still "Checking for update" I terminated. It looks like this is not solution in my case.
Any other idea?
@DSummZZZ, goombawaho, I don't see any update available to install. Windows Update "Checking for update" never finishes to display any of update.
@2ffat, I created a new Windows user account and added it to Administrators group. Run a Windows Update and after 1 hour there was still "Checking...
Hi,
on Windows 7 update stopped working. When ever I execute check for updates in Windows Update window the message "Checking for updates" never finishes. Today I have left this running for 6 hours and still not displaying how many new updates were found. There is no error message nothing, just...
Hi,
I installed Windows 7 Professional and Service Pack 1 on my laptop. Then I executed the Windows update and after a while 190!!! new updates were found. Then I left my laptop running and after 6 hours fixes were not installed yet, but I was in hurry and I need to shutdown laptop. I got...
@Rick998, I was on vacation (that was why my late response) and coming back I got millions of things to do with high priority, so CAPS lock 'problem' is one of least important to me - actually it is very important to me, but not to my boss. I thought there is solution to just install, spend like...
Hi,
using Windows 2008 R2 I would like to get info when and from which source IP has someone tried to unsuccessfully connect to my Windows server.
Sample output should be something like:

@Rick998, I have installed AutoHotKey and this is working excellent. I have one more little wish. I have a dual monitor and this script display icon only on first monitor. Is there a way that I can have this icon on both monitors?
By the way I have tested:
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/traystatus.html
http://keyboard-leds.com/download/
and both do not work properly on my system. They have a few seconds delay (not always) or just don't react on capslock press action. I have figure it out that when capslock indicator is...
@strongm, PalmTest, both suggested the same application, but like I have written. I would like to have caps lock indicator in TITLE BAR (on in a location top center). Application suggested it displays caps lock status in "system tray", I don't want this.s
@TonHU, I understand what you mean, but as I have written above it is not a perfect solution. This is not a "random location", but exact location of middle of the title bar in the left or right monitor. So if in both monitors programs are maximized (in 99% of all time in my case) then this means...
I have found out a solution (not the perfect one, but very good one for my day to day workflow):
1. Download AutoHotKey program from http://ahkscript.org/
2. In program's script type in the following commands:
; Comment: Left mouse click on the location of the middle of the first screen with...
@strongm, I know this is not supported natively in Windows. I am just looking for a program to display status of caps lock in TITLE BAR or in the location top center of scren!
Hi,
I really like the CAPS LOCK key to have an upper keys typed in. But I forget what is the current status of caps lock, so I need to check to look at the keyboard light to see if caps lock is turned on or off.
Is there a way to display some caps lock notification in titlebar of all of the...
I tried "Windows 7" theme (from Aero Themes sections) and it does not work. I changed to "Windows Classic" theme (from Basic and High Contrast Themes sections) and it works fine, but I don't want to have "Windows Classic" theme. I want to have a modern theme and just changed title bar color for...
Hi,
on Windows 7 I would like to change color of Active Window title bar to e.g. dark-red. How to do this?
I tried:
1. Right click on desktop and select Personalize.
2. Clicked on Window Color icon from bottom of dialog.
3. Clicked on "Active Window" and changed Color1 to dark-red. and in the...
Sorry, I mistyped CTRL+TAB, but I thought ALT+TAB.
Hmmm, my case is even little bit more complicated, but I thought to write on this forum simplified version of my problem to make it more simple... Let me describe in little bit more detail.
Because default Windows 7 is just very limited about...
