    Partition Strategy

marcs41, That's what I thought you meant. As I said my second disk is not installed. I use it for backup cloning. Any advantage of making a small partition on the same (system/boot disk for paging or should I just set for a fixed size in the primary partition? Or one of the logical...

    Partition Strategy

marcs41 , You suggested to put the paging file on the second disk. On my system this will be a second partition on the same physical disk. Will this still make a diference? I would think it would be better to place it at the beggining of the disk or on a different disk. Thanks

    Can't boot after Ghost clone

Wolluf, With clones as backups I can just pop in the HD in case of catastrophe and I'm up and running. I suspect the dual boot setup somehow caused sysprep to fail but I don't enough about it to be sure, much less fix it. I think you are right and I should chalk this one up to experience...

    Can't boot after Ghost clone

Hi all, I posted this a couple days ago in the XP_deployment forum but since I have not received any suugestions yet I'd thought I'd give a shot here. I have a dual boot system with Win ME (drive C in windows) and Win XP Pro- NTFS (drive F) on a 120 gig HD. I use an 80-gig drive and Norton...

Can't Boot Either Drive after Ghost Clone with Sysprep

I have a dual boot system with Win ME (drive C in windows) and Win XP Pro- NTFS (drive F) on a 120 gig HD. I use an 80-gig drive and Norton Ghost 2002 to clone backups. I discovered I am unable to boot the cloned drive into Win XP (XP hangs on the welcome screen, ME boots fine). I contacted...
