    OK so far so good. Ran spybot to cleaer spyware, but that didnt stop the error msg so then went to Windows update and installed the fix in Bcastner's post.Seems to be stable again 15 mins online and no error. http://www.microsoft.com/security/security_bulletins/ms03-026.asp

    Just had this problem with a user. It is spyware trying to connect to the internet and the install or in our case uninstall did not work. Look for Gator and it's "Offer Companion" for one and uninstall them both. Then download and install "Spybot" from security.kolla.de Run...

    The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal processing. HRESULT was 800706BA from line 44 of d:\nt\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemmobj.cpp Error report states as above.

    XP Pro running extremely slow

    Check your startup files in msconfig( goto run type msconfig and hit enter) If it has rundll32 C:\windows\system32\NvCpl.dll,Nvstartup checked then this is slowing ur startup. I had same problem I unchecked it and starts fine but I don't know if it is necesary for anything as of yet.
