    Help a Newbie with Transitions

    I used the razor tool to split a clip on my timeline at a point where I want to apply a transition. I applied the transition, but I cannot seem to preview it. I added a second (new) clip at the end of the 1st, and applied a transition there and it previews just fine...I cannot figure out why one...
