I also uninstalled directx9 and the slowdowns seem to be a bit less offen but the image is still slowing down, but I'll try this method!.
Trying that, but the problem is the small glitch, or hick-up or something like that called, that makes the game slow for a second, that makes me notice it, because other wise it would be o.k, but that second makes a diferent while playing any game.

P.S. the slowdowns are just momentary and about for 1 sec, and them some 3-5 secs and again, and in the FPS on QUAKE III it shows 90 fps, then 60 or so, and the 90 again!. This is really anoying while trying to play some games.
