    You could also use bginfo its a freeware tool: http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/bginfo.shtml PLace it in the login script with the appropriate parametes and your set.

    In internet Explorer: Got to tools then internet options. On the programs tab it gives you the option to select the default e-mail program.
