Windows 2000 upgrade problems with Bios
On a seperate computer, I downloaded the the manufacuters bios upgrade which neeeds to boot off a floopy. I copied the data to a file on my hard drive and burned it onto a cd. Then I went into the bios setting and listed the cd as the first boot option. This didn't work. Am I doing something...- 66afro

Win2K pro - floppy drive problems
I upgraded my o/s from win98 to win2000. Unfortunately I did not upgrade my bios before I did the installation. Now my floppy drive and several core compents do not work properly. I can't upgrade the bios now because it part of that process is based on booting up through with the floppy...- 66afro

Yes I have changed the boot order to Cd first and then back. I have gone into the control panel as well to check the floppy and it says there are no problems and it works fine. My problem is that I rushed the upgrade. I have an HP pavilion that I was suppose to upgrade the bios before I...- 66afro
