The newer conputers may be trying to negotiate a network connection starting at 1G or 100 meg and if the wiring does not support it it may not connect you may try setting the connection speed manually to 10 meg or 100 meg and see if it works, I had this a a location that had older wiring cat 4...

We are running into a similar issue on some workstations with outlook 2002. We found spell check works in it is not selected to automaticly run before sending, but use has to manually run spell check. We are suspecting it is related to the signature function as if the auto signature is removed...
I have found this is by design. Microsoft expects people are using outlook to send faxes through a fax server also. There is a microsoft document on how to export the address book fix this it is basicly renaming the fax numbers so they are not displayed as fax numbers but other contacts. A pain...
Thanks, for the response, I'm somewhat limited with disk space so I cannot backup the databases to disk multiple times each day. I should have no problem keeping a couple days worth of transaction logs so that is most likely my best option for now.
