so i was gone for a few days and had my computer off. when i returned home and started up my computer my mouse wasn't working. i took off the usb to ps2 adapter and plugged it into an available usb port and everything was fine. i had a spare ps2 optical mouse and tried plugging that into the...
if you have many access points scattered accross a network that uses static ip's and you want to give the access point a static ip address only for the purpose of management; must you give the access point a subnet and gateway? thanks for any insight.
is there a way to disable the Windows help with GPO? i have removed it from the start menu but it's still accessible through the help on an explorer window.
here is something i just thought of. the permissions for the share are set up the way that i need them to be. is there a way to copy the permissions from the share over to the security?
in this case, that will not work. each folder that i set security for must have a different user listed as full control.
for instance...if the users name is user1. i need the security for that folder to be administrator full control and user1 full control.
say the next folder is user2...
is there a way that i can change the security on multiple folders so that it only has the administrator listed as full control and then the user of that folder as full control?
in active directory for the username there clearly shows 2 different logon fields. one just says logon and the other says logon (pre-windows2000). so how come if all the computers on my domain are windows 2000 or later, they are being forced to use the pre-windows 2000 logon? any suggestions...
