    I know that only 1,2,3,6 are constant, the problem i had experienced was very strange and maybe it was just a bad switch, or a poorly wired office, maybe even a combo of alot of things. There is a standard for a reason. If 1+2 sending and 3+6 receiving it shouldn't matter what way you wire it...

    Have any of you ever had issues with networks wired in 568a and when a 10/100 switch was added it caused connections problems (assuming the patch panel to the rj45 wall connections are "A" on both ends)? It has been my expierence that some switches require that everything be wired...
