We're running Windows Me, Peachtree v8.0 and have not installed anything new recently. Anytime something is accessed (within Peachtree) a Kernel32.dll error occurs and closes the program. I've uninstalled and then reinstalled with the same results. "Kernel" problems appear to be common...
I had the same problem! Followed advice to look in the samba log files
/var/log/samba/log.smb (and log.nmb)
There was "can't find host qwert.domain" I changed the host name in /etc/host file to qwert.domain and away it went!
