Thanks for reading this Wolluf. Indeed, the 16bit dlls should go in \winnt\system but NTVDM does not look there anymore after this error has occured! I literally get the error a.o.: 'compobj.dll missing'. When moving/copying it to system32, the error disappears...
Hi all, I need to know the answer to the above question because I have the following problem:
The installion of our product fails on NT4 SP6 and after this failure NTVDM cannot find the 16bit dlls anymore. When moving them to the system32 folder it finds them, but this introduces other errors...
Does anyone know how to install Visual Studio .NET on a removable drive? My harddisk is getting full but I have a MO drive with plenty of space but .NET wont allow installing on it. My SCSI bios even set the drive as harddisk 1 (booting from IDE harddisk 0). Someone know how to rig the registry...
I was trying to access a 1024 byte/sector disk. Now I succeeded using dos and partition magic. If anyone has a windows based solution, I am still interested.

Hi All, I have a Sony SMO-F541 MO drive and I have been trying to create a bootable MO disk. But unsuccessful so far.
My SCSI bios actually assigns a drive letter to the disk but using win98 dos I get something like 'invalid drive' (I'm trying fdisk in a minute... just thinking of it... ;-))...
