failed to flush the ARP cache
I get a similar message. I am using a usb-usb cable to network my two computers. It seems to take up a great deal of cpu% at times. When I try to repair the connection, I get the "flushing arp cache failed" message. Haven't found the arp cache handle to flush so I'll keep looking ;)
