ZA not running any more...
Yep, virus it was. W32/yaha.k infected the pc. McAfee online virus scan found the problem in a matter of seconds, whereas Norton online scan took about 30 mins and found no infected files...... Reckon I'll switch to McAfee... Thanks for your help guys.- milesoneill

ZA not running any more...
Been using ZoneAlarm for years now, and always ran it on start-up. It stopped about 2 days ago for no reason. It won't load on start-up, nor will it run when I double-click the program (the splash-screen pops up briefly and then disappears). I've uninstalled, re-installed and still nothing.
