Hello,
I have couple of questions:
1. I recently upgraded server from 2000 to XP. I could not bring admin interface on XP after this. I then installed 7.1.3 and I can bring up the interface but -> continue to 2
2. I can't backup any clients. The command savefs exits with error code 9 (as seen...
Hi,
I have a strange problem. From a windows 2000 machine I can conenct to any machine on the network. However, I cannot even ping this machine from anywhere else on the network. I tried pinging using both IP and name, tried telnet etc, but without success.
From this machine however, internet...
Hi,
I had posted this before as well. Here are some more details:
I can manually backup mapped drives using networker user, this is version 6.2.
On doing a scheduled backup I get this error:
cannot stat \\server\share: invalid arguments
RPC error: RPC cannot encode arguments

This is what I did:
mapped drive f: to //server/directory.
After this I tried specifying save sets as
1.f: (got an error saying connection does not exist)
2.//server/directory
I created an similar accounts on all machines involved but get the same problem.
Thanks,

What is really surprising is that I can recover my manual backups. Its only the scheduled backups that are causing problems.
Hi,
I recently installed Networker server on Windows 2000 with a unix client pack. I can backup and recover files from Windows clients. However, on SGI's I can only do a backup. The recover fails with the message "Error receiving files from the NSR server".
When I do a manual backup...
