if it was the isp limiting the ip addresses, shouldn't the computer connect when it was the sole computer connected to the cable modem because it doesn't.

i have an xp pro system on a network with 2 other xp machines. connected through a hub to a cable modem. all 3 were connecting to the internet. recently 1 machine stopped connecting to the net. nothing i know of has changed internally. changing the nic didn't repair it. changing cables and ports...
type mismatch usually means you are using the wrong data type, make sure the types you are linking your primary keys to are long interger, but i think a better solution would be to use the secondary tables as look up tables for the info you want to link and enter it directly to the time clock...
