Blue screen on startup of Win NT4
try the recovery console the new celeron's may have a fundamental change in their design over the old celerons. Which is close enough to fool nt into thinking they are the old ones but not operating like them. Thus the lockup. If the recovery console doesn't work reinstall NT.- Scanner929

wierd HDD problems
Norton labeled products and Symantec product line in general is bad to the core IMHO. They almost always cause more problems than they fix. USB devices get disabled when printing
I should have mentioned that the printer is using the parallel port already. This is not a USB printer. I've searched the knowledge database at microsoft and have come up empty. the Motherboard is DTK 801 e01- Scanner929
