    You may have lost the Master Boot Record on the disk. You can try fdisk /mbr, but read this first: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;69013& (copy and paste URL)

    Bad Sectors

    Seriously, if you have "many" bad sectors, your drive is at the end of its life and should not be trusted. HDD's are very inexpensive these days, do yourself a favor and get a new one!
