720 dlpar internal dvd/tape
Thanks a lot. The tape is an internal DDS tape, also under the sissas1 adapter. I always thought that I had to remove a pci adapter, in order to dlpar it on the HMC, so in this case, when I saw it doesn't hang from a pci device I didn't know how to do it. Thanks. -

AIX will not boot
You must boot from a boot media (installation media, or mksysb) that has the same oslevel (base level and tl level, and if possible same sp level). If you don't have the installation media, but you have another sever at same level you can do a mksysb or mkdvd and boot from it. -

SAP Portal taking too much time to start on AIX 6.1 TL5 SP6
We've also seen that ec column in vmstat is always 99 or 100. I've found a fix (IV01111 - WAITPROC IDLE LOOPING CONSUMES CPU. APPLIES TO AIX 6100-05) that should solve this: https://www-304.ibm.com/support/entdocview.wss?uid=isg1IV01111 It is included in 6.1 TL5 SP8. -

Thanks a lot, I've done rmsf -vH 64000/0xfa00/0xd and it deleted /dev/disk and /dev/rdisk special files, and after I deleted /dev/dsk and /dev/rdsk special files manually.- MoreFeo
