I had a similar problem with one machine getting duplicate messages from a single source. I eventually discovered that there were two rules regarding this particular address. The strange thing was that it didn't always duplicate the message. However...

I too had this problem and it drove me nuts.
The answer when it came was blindingly obvious.
I logged on to all the affected machines as administrator, opened any office application and accepted the EULA.
This solved the problem every time.
