Sending e-mail via internet to internal users

Thanks nsantin. I did that already and it didn't seem to have made a difference. Let me explain that we actually had two separate policies, one for each domain. Deleting the one for australiadomain.com didn't update the users in AD. I know you can click "Apply now" but not on a deleted policy...

Sending e-mail via internet to internal users

Hi Everyone, I've got an issue with two exchange sites in one administrative group. I have one exchange server in the US and one in Australia. There is a US domain usdomain.com and an Australian domain, australiadomain.com. Originally the two sites were two separate companies(usdomain.local and...

    Active Directory and DNS issues

Hi Everyone, I am having an issue with accessing the Domain Controller Security Policy and Domain Security Policy consoles on any of the 3 DCs in our domain. The error is: Group Policy Error Failed to open the Group Policy Object. You may not have appropriate rights. Details: The specified...

Default gateway has a mind of its own

It turned out to be the SBS logon script. It apparently sets the default gateway to the SBS configured one every time it runs. Thanks for yor help.

    Default gateway problem

llevon, it was indeed the domain admin running the SBS logon script which it looks like changes the default gateway every time it runs. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

    Default gateway changes automatically

Thank coladmin. The problem has been solved. It was due to the domain admin login running the SBS logon script which apparently sets the default gateway when it runs !?

Cannot connect to desktops on LAN using Remote Web Workplace

Hi Everyone, I have 3 PCs on a LAN with SBS 2003 server running remote web workplace. The LAN is behind a firewall. Until yesterday, all users could connect to their desktops from home via remote web workplace. But today, none of them can. I cannot even connect to the desktops from internally...

    Default gateway problem

llevon, Hmmm. Usually it's the administrator account, although I am not 100% sure whether it's the domain or local admin. I am pretty sure I've tried both with the same result, but I will confirm it. To the best of your knowledge, if indeed the logon script changes the nic config, would it only...

Default gateway has a mind of its own

Yes, it happens every time. Having said that, if we connect and it happens. Once it's fixed it doesn't happen again from the same PC on the same day. Because we don't do this every day, it's hard to say when it 'resets' so to speak. Certainly given a couple of days between attempts (probably...

Default gateway has a mind of its own

Hi everyone. I'am not sure if this is a Watchguard issue or a Windows issue but maybe you TCP/IP gurus can give me an idea where to start looking. I have a Watchguard X500 with a LAN and a DMZ network. The Watchguard has a public IP and there is a webserver on the DMZ and a MS SBS 2K3 server on...

Another PIX 501 with VPN problem

Ok, so I tried all the debug options and there are absolutely no debug messages for vpdn or ppp. I tried to connect the workstation directly to the PIX outside interface, but still unable to connect. Syslog logging was not on, so nothing there either. About the only thing that I did get was a...

Another PIX 501 with VPN problem

Yizhar, Thanks for your helpful suggestions. I will try the debug options you suggested. This might be a silly question, but does the debug output just appear on the console or do I have to do anything else to view the results of the debug? The error on the client is "Error 800: Unable to...

Another PIX 501 with VPN problem

Hi, I am trying to configure a PIX 501 for simple PPTP VPN access so that there would be no need to use anything other than the standard Windows Built-in VPN Client. I am a Cisco newbie so I have been using the cisco website and documentation. I think I have done everything they suggested but...
