I remember yet another thing from the DOS Sniffer days... there was a utility on the installation CD called "OSCOMMON" that you had to execute before you loaded the Sniffer. It seems to me that was only for a machine formatted with WIN 95 and then booted to DOS.
As I recall you have to set your machine up to dual-boot, either to Windows, or to DOS. In the old days when Win 3.11 was, essentially, a DOS app you would use the boot configuration screen to make a selection. You could NEVER run the DOS Sniffer in a DOS window, or Command mode from within...
