Problem using Access 2003 and 2007 for the same database

Hi Andy Never used late binding before. I'll try and work out how to use it. The only help I've found so far always gives Excel examples, not Access? Thanks for the suggestion Cheers John

Problem using Access 2003 and 2007 for the same database

Hi Andy Yes, that's correct. So far the only solution I've found is to reinstall 2003, then that sets the references back to the 11.00 Object Library. Obviously this is not practical, so I was wondering if there's a way to tweak the registry. Cheers John

Problem using Access 2003 and 2007 for the same database

I need to run 2 different versions of the same database in Access 2003 and Access 2010, but each time I run it in 2010, it updates the References from Microsoft Access 11.00 Object Library to Microsoft Access 14.00 Object Library. The 2003 version then doesn't work. Is there any way the...

export from Access to excel not working

Since installing the latest update for Windows 7, 4041681, the code to export an Access query to Excel is not working. The error message is "Unexpected error from external database driver (1)". Whilst I can fix it on my PC by uninstalling the update, I can't do that on the client's network. Is...

automating an outlook template to send an email to a selected recipient

thread181-459711 I have an Access 2003 database and when the user clicks on an email address (hyperlink field) in a selected record, I want it to automatically open the outlook template I have created and append the email address. Can I do this with some simple VBA code? Thank you LondonJohn

Problem trying to email a query in excel format

I find it easier to email queries as text documents. I first change the query view to sql, then copy and paste the text into Word. The recipient can then paste the text into a new query in sql view and change to the normal access design view. From a support point of view, it's nice and easy for...

Access 2007 changing dates to US format

We have a client with two sites that we have done some simple access databases for and both have upgraded to Access 2007 (without telling us!) They are having problems with dates - although the system is set to UK dates there are issues with Access changing some dates to US format. Has anybody...

Running Access 2007 and XP on same PC

I can't find any info about this topic. I know with previous versions we had to do strange things like rename font files, etc. When I install Access XP on my new laptop with Access 2007, I can get through the security option, making it a trusted database, but it doesn't want to recognise some of...

    Ms Access 97 Security

I am a little puzzled regarding Ms Access Security. When you set up a workgroup the SYSTEM.MDW file stores all the security information. This then applies to the running of Microsoft Access, not the running of a particular database. This means that a user with read-only rights to the particular...
