Teknoratti: It's working NOW. What I'm trying to say is that while it doesn't work when a pc is assigned .34, it does work when the same pc is assigned .35. I currently have four addresses excluded because they don't work. There are no VLAN's, no ACL's, it's a very simple network.
Thanks,

OK, here's a strange one. This has been going on for the past several months. Let me describe my network. I have one 2003 DC, one Windows 2000 member server and one 2003 member server. The 2003 DC does all the heavy lifting, i.e, it is the DNS server, the DHCP server, and the Exchange server...
I've been trying to get OMA to work, but I get the same error, " A System error has occurred while processing your request. Please try again. If the problem persists, contact your administrator."
I AM the administrator and I can't find any info regarding this message. I have another Exchange...
Hello, let me describe my network. I have one Server 2003 DC which also is the Exchange server. I also have another 2003 member server which is a mail gateway, and I have a Windows 2000 SQL server. I have about 30 clients on the local LAN, a mix of NT and XP machines. I have 30 remote sites...
First of all, I am entirely new to SQL Server. Taking that into account, I have installed SQL Server 2000 on our Dual P3 1 Ghz server. I purchased 2 processor licenses and SQL Server licensing setup indicates 2 processors licensed. I have installed SP3a and all available updates. When I look at...
Can someone confirm my suspiscion please, as I have never had to do this before. I am setting up a routed network with multiple subnets. Each subnet will have 1 XP Pro PC which is a domain member, and 2 XP Pro pc's which are in a workgroup. It appears that I can't have multiple instances of the...
We have several clients using 2K3 server with RDP clients, some on XP, others on 2K and 98 using the MS RDP client. These customers are all running a point of sale application off of the terminal server. Several of the clients are having problems staying connected to the terminal server, which...
I have the BAOF running on an SBS 2003 machine with Version 9, build 2020. First of all, it seems like there are an awful lot of open files, files that I don't believe are actually open. Nonetheless, the system logs the backup of all these files and there are thousands of them. This makes...
I'd like to know if I can do this. I've had AS2000 AE on a Windows 2000 server for a few years. I have now built a new Windows 2003 domain on another server with a different domain name. I am using the AS database. Can I move my old DB to the new server and continue using my current media sets...
This system is AS 2k AE Version 7 build 1100
My client had a power failure last week. The ArcServe server was on a UPS and shut down normally, however the DLT drive shut down when the ups went down. Now the backup job I was running is gone from the job status manager window. I tried to create a...
I checked the archives, but no definitive answer on this one. Dell mistakenly sold my client Workgroup Edition for their Win2K Small Business Server. To remedy this and allow backup of their appserver I had them buy the Advanced Edition. I applied the AE registration and all seemed good. I also...
Hello. I just installed BAOF on a client's machine and now I am getting a log entry for every file that BAOF allows to be backed up. There are TONS of files, like cookies, etc. I don't want to see all this data. Is there a way too control how much of this information is reported?

Hello: I recently migrated a client from Novell 5.1 to Windows 2000. They are using Arcserve 2000 workgroup edition. They were using Arcserve on their Novell network as well. They have quite a few DLT IV tapes that were originally used with Arcserve on the Novell server that they would like to...
