The printer does not show up in my control panel/printer file. I have tried logging off and restarting as well. According to the printer instructions I need to cancel the autodetect screen and install the printer. I tried reinstalling the printer and the software asks me to add another copy or...- asolano

Windows 2000 won't detect a usb printer
I installed a lexmark printer via the usb port. When i install the printer software it won't detect the printer. I have tried to edit the registry hkey_local_machine\system\current_control_set\enum\usbprint|Lexmark. but windows won't let me delete the file ( i am logged in as an administrator)...- asolano
