This type of situation is extremely dangerous, especially if the users are downloading illegal content like pirated movies. Streaming video is another big bandwith hog. You'll likely need a traffic analyser such as Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) which comes with Small Business Server...
If its a 6400/7400 Gateway branded server, check the floppy light. If its on solid during the no video/no post situation, you have a bad motherboard.
Otherwise, standard steps
- remove the memory and listen for beeps.
- try one memory module at a time (or pairs if dual-channel mem)
- remove...
gpastorelli, the ceiling can be called glass for two reasons 1) you dont see it until you hit it, and 2) you see your potential and the opportunities but cant reach it. Maybe you wont, in which case you've got a good Co. My Co really stresses me to take advantage of the self-learning courses (of...
Consider uninstalling and reinstalling the Intranet component of SBS, rerun the Change server ip address wizard, and the connect to the internet wizard. If it still has the permissions issues, and you're going to restore... some considerations:
- copy the program files\exchsrvr\mdbdata folder...
I'll try to keep this brief. Its an important step for me to ask this forum for advice.
My career in IT started in 98, I moved up the ranks of phone support and spent the last 5 between server pre-sales/tech sales/tech support for a very well-known PC company (just not for servers). I innovated...
Make sure you're choosing to catalog a tape that is in the drive, verses one youre finding from All Media. Start the catalog from within Devices, after inventory.
Typical stuff:
- retension media if Travan, DLT, LTO
- Ensure SCSI card youre using is non-RAID, or has HostRAID disabled.
- Try...
In regards to still working the issue, for the security error: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322144/EN-US/
and slightly off-topic material but relevant, .NET installed out of order: http://classserver.msn.com/Doc/cs/en/ClassServerTroubleshootingGuide.htm#error4005ssl

On the 2003 Server, go to Internet Options. Go to Security, select 'trusted sites'. Insert the URL name of the server hosting the help files (https://help.erp.local), or http://*.erp.local).
Also go to Control Panel, Add/Remove programs. Add/Remove windows components. See if the IE...
One thought, have you tried to add the ERP server site (https://siebel.yourcompany.com) to the 'Trusted Sites' list under Security? Also, SP1 automatically implements and turns on the Firewall until Automatic Updates are turned on. Check that the firewall is not enabled (under Control panel now...
Sorry that I don't have a specific answer. I just did some research and found the following links which may be worth looking through.

If it's SBS 2003 at all, try rerunning the Change User Permissions wizard.
There is likely a security setting somewhere on the public folder that prevents stealing company data as it could also be seen. Or the Organization name has somehow changed.
Exmerge also doesn't work with public folders...
Your problem is not OWA, but likely is that the Adobe Acrobat plugin is hosed.
In IE > Tools, Internet Options
Programs Tab > Manage Add-ins
Look for Adobe in the list and try to Update it, or disable it and see if symptoms change in any way.
Adobe in it's own program may not have any...
I think you could redirect them under properties of each one. Somewhat of an experiment would be to do this under the Default Users folder.
You can redirect many folders using Group Policy on a Server running Active Directory and workstations are members of the domain...
It might be because you are using an evaluation version of GFI mail essentials. When you talk of the Recipient policy and adding an SMTP name to it, and then applying it to each user, you can set it as primary for users to send email with the correct reply-to email address to get return emails...
Yes! That is exactly it! It's been hard to track without looking at each case but after doing that, this is definately the underlying problem.
Thanks in advance, you've already helped me a lot and I appreciate your expertise
Thanks for your quick response. That explains a lot about the Left Join...! I just couldn't believe how low the SPR % results are turning out to be, so pardon my dumb-founded and possibly premature last post. I need to go through the data manually once to verify this. If it turns out you're...
