    SQL view - formatting syntax.

I'm using Access'97. Is there any way to stop Access changing the layout of the SQL queries I write using the 'SQL View'? I spend an age making the query readable only for Access to change it whenever it feels like it! This drives me crazy! Thanks in advance.

Run a control's Event Procedure from another form

Yes! That's the one. "Forms!frmPERSON.lstCourseSummary_AfterUpdate" does the trick. Many thanks both of you for your help.

Run a control's Event Procedure from another form

Thanks for the reply Richard. My form is called frmPERSON & my listbox is called lstCourseSummary. I've made the lstCourseSummary_AfterUpdate public not private. I've tried the following syntax and neither work. It comes up with an "Object doesn't support this property or method" error...

Run a control's Event Procedure from another form

Hi, In Access '97 I have a main form with a pop up form. Is it possible to call the main form's Event Procedures from the pop up form? e.g I want to call the main form's "AfterUpdate" procedure for a list box while the pop up form is open and has the focus. Thanks for any help.

    Form's Recordcount

It works! Thanks a lot Ken. I'm too relieved to be embarrassed at how simple the answer was! Once again, thanks.

    Form's Recordcount

Hi. I have a text box on a form with the control source set to =[Forms].[formname].[RecordsetClone].[RecordCount] There are 1319 records in the recordset. The first time I open this form it gets the count wrong and displays 501. However If I change the form's view to "design" and then back...

    Passing parameter to query

I can't seem to find an answer for this anywhere. I'm sure it must be simple. I have a query called say "Query1". It consists of the following: ------------------------------ PARAMETERS [enter surname] Text; SELECT tblPERSON.SURNAME FROM tblPERSON WHERE tblPERSON.SURNAME=[enter surname]...

Listbox - records not on view

Thanks for the links. Looks like the following file solves the problem, although exactly how it works is a bit beyond me! http://www.lebans.com/DownloadFiles/ListBoxEnhanced.zip

Listbox - records not on view

Thanks for the reply Roy-Vidar. Ideally I'd like the label to update when the user scrolls down one record. Then the label below would read "1 more rec below" and the label above could read "1 more rec above". The problem is, no ListIndex is changed when the user simply scrolls down the box...

Listbox - records not on view

I have a listbox that can display 4 rows of data before the scroll bar is show. Lets say my listbox.rowsource returns 6 rows. What I am wondering is: Is there a way to update a label on my form with the number of records "above" and "below" what the listbox is currently displaying. i.e. "2...
